So what is exactly the Ultrasound Project? During the lock down, we all had a lot of free time. Netflix and Amazon Prime exploded, and people confined to their homes binge watched lots of series until dawn.
I was one of those people and I watched the miniseries “Modern Love” on Amazon Video. Modern Love explores love in its multitude of forms and is presented in eight half-hour episodes. The series, based on the New York Times column of the same name, adapts different love stories set in NYC.
In episode 1, a young woman becomes pregnant with one of her one-night stands and decides to keep the baby.
Showing the last ultrasound to her concierge, the man declares: “In this photo, there is the whole universe”!
It marked me deeply. And I had the idea of offering a new concept, a unique memory of the pregnancy. Transforming the ultrasound into a work of art, using a galaxy effect background. Everything could be customized according to the desire of each new mom (adding name, pattern, colors).
The ultrasound would then become a memory of the baby’s life during the pregnancy.
